Romans 10 1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. 2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of Godzeal of God, but notnot according to Knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God's RighteousnessGod's Righteousness, and going about to establish their ownown righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the Righteousness of God. 4 For ChristChrist is the end of the Law for Righteousness to every one that believeth.

(Text) 5 For Moses describeth the Righteousness which is of the Law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. 6 But the Righteousness which is of faithof faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into Heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) 7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

No man can keep the spiritspirit of the Law (God's intent) perfectlyperfectly from the heart.

But Jesus has already comecome down to earth, and is risenrisen from the dead; just receive Himreceive Him by faith.

There is nothing we can docan do to be righteous.

There is nothing we need doneed do to be righteous.

8 But what saith it? The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the Word of Faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confessconfess with thy mouth the LordLord JesusJesus, and shalt believebelieve in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heartheart man believeth unto Righteousness; and with the mouthmouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture saith, WhosoeverWhosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

This is a much broader statementbroader statement than many realize.First -- it's not just sayingsaying the words;

it's a confession of faithfaith.Acknowledging Jesus as GodJesus as God --

Supreme.And, confessing that Jesus is mymy Lord.

I submit myself to His Authority His Authority over all.

I give upgive up my own will and submit to His WillHis Will.

It's notnot just head knowledge; not just intellectual consentintellectual consent.

To believe is to totally entrusttotally entrust one's entire being: spirit, soul, and body,

To faith in Jesus ChristJesus Christ, Whom

God raisedGod raised from the dead.

10 For with the heartheart man believeth unto Right-eousness; and with the mouthmouth confession is made unto salvation.

We must speakspeak words of faith; not just thinkthink them.

To be saved; born

again.

To receive God's best.

Matthew 21 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faithhave faith, and doubt doubt notnot, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall sayshall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. 22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

All things are possible with God, but we mustwe must:

Have faith

Doubt not

Speak the Word.

FaithFaith, just like love, joy, peace, and patience,is the fruitfruit of the Holy Spirit.

In other words, faith is produced in produced in usus by the Holy SpiritHoly Spirit,

as we prayerfully studyprayerfully study the Word of GodWord of God.

Christians must livelive by faith.

To live by faith is to doto do what God teaches us to do, believingbelieving with all our heart that He will He will

dodo what He saysHe says He will do.

To receive salvation from sin and from hell, God told us to put all our faithput all our faith in Jesus' death, burial

and resurrection and confess Him as Lordconfess Him as Lord.

We act in faithact in faith when we ask Godask God to save us, believebelieve that He saved us, and stand before men

and confess Himconfess Him as Savior and Lord.

God promised to supply all our needssupply all our needs according to His riches in glory.

(Philippians 4:19)

Luke 6 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

To be generous heartedgenerous hearted, believing that God God willwill supply all our needs, is to act in faith.

3 John 1 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health (sound health), even aseven as thy soul prospereth.

To act in faith is to feed and nurture our soulfeed and nurture our soul, believingbelieving that God will give us

health and prosperityhealth and prosperity.

We need to eat more soul foodsoul food:

Music, Beauty, Worship, God's Word, Music, Beauty, Worship, God's Word, PrayerPrayer

God wants His children to be sound in spiritsound in spirit, mindmind, emotionsemotions, and bodybody.

Why do so many people want and choose to live by a set of man made rulesman made rules, instead of

living by faithliving by faith in God and His Word?

It's easiereasier to talk about hair, clothes, beards, and cigarettes and such, than to believebelieve and live for Godlive for God.

Man-made rules do not help usdo not help us live for God and be blessed.

God is loveGod is love; One aspect of livingliving by faith in God is to love as He lovesas He loves.

1 Corinthians 13 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the Truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. … NIV

11 For the Scripture saith, WhosoeverWhosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

When we put all our faithall our faith in our Lord and His Word, and they are inseparableinseparable --

We shall not be ashamed.We shall not be ashamed.Proverbs 30 5 EveryEvery Word of God is pure: He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.

Luke 4 4 … That man shall not live by bread alone, but by everyevery Word of God.

To livelive by faith in God enablesenables us to live a life of honorhonor and integrityintegrity.

We will nevernever be disgraced.

1 Peter 3 17 For it is better, if the Will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

To suffer for doing the right thing is an honor.

JesusJesus was arrested, beaten, spit on, cursed, and executed on a Roman cross,

For telling the TruthTruth and doing the right thingright thing.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto allall that call upon Him. 13 For whosoeverwhosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.

God loves you!If you're His childHis child, He loves youloves you and

wants to bless youbless you.

If you don't yetdon't yet know Him as Savior and Lord,

He loves you and wants to save you from sinsave you from sin, and rescue yourescue you from a burning hell.
