Boston University School of Medicine conducted a study showing a leveling of GABA levels inside the brain with a regular yoga practice, which

aids in management of anxiety and depressive

disorders Past research also suggests

yoga helps with epilepsy, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, and cancer

A 2004 study at Yale University School of Medicine,

found yoga to reduce blood pressure levels, and heart rates and is in large part

related to the fact it helps people learn to manage stress

more effectively
