Announcements

Cemetery Committee Meeting - Monday, October 19th at 7:00 PM. Finance Committee Meeting - Tuesday, October 20th at 7:00 PM. Don’t forget your food pantry donations! Fill the Barrel Sunday is October 25th. Yam Jam - Saturday, October 31st from 8:30 AM-1:00 PM (location TBD). Please sign up by October 25th. Everyone is welcome to come help glean sweet potatoes. Just contact Pastor Joe via email or phone ([email protected] or 252-531-6812 - text or call). Blood Drive - Sunday, November 8th from 12:30-5:00 PM in the Family Life Center. To sign up go to the website www.redcrossblood.org and search by sponsor code: Knightdale Baptist, or come by the church office. Upward Registration has begun - The deadline to register is November 20th. You can register on-line at: http://registration.upward.org/UPW59859. Backpack Buddies - Currently there is an urgent need for macaroni and cheese (individual cups or boxes), Pop Tarts and canned meat (Vienna sausage, tuna, chicken, pork & beans). The food collection bins are located on the floor downstairs in the Sanctuary Building across from the Fellowship Hall (kitchen side). Thank you again for supporting this local ministry. 100 Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes = 100 Happy Children - Shoebox Challenge: To fill all 100 boxes and have each box’s freight covered! Purchase a box for $8.00, which covers the cost of the box and the freight. Pick up your box in the church office and pay Patty or mark your offering envelope “Shoebox Challenge.” Don’t have time to fill the box? Purchase a box for $20 and we will pack it for you.

Fall Festival w/Holiday Craft Sale - Saturday, October 24th, 5:30-8:30 PM. It’s that time of year again and we are planning a huge Community Fall Festival with a Craft Sale, but we need everyone’s help! As you know this is a huge event for KBC and this year since we are adding the Craft Sale both areas would appreciate your help.

First we need volunteers: Set-up starting Thursday, October 22nd, from 7:00-9:00 PM, we will be decorating the FLC. Bales

of hay will be delivered either Thursday or Friday. We will continue decorating and setting up Friday night and Saturday morning.

Kitchen help: cooks, servers and hostesses to help keep eating area clean. One person per game to assist the children (we have 20-25 games). Greeters to explain the game area, where they can locate the food and drinks, and where they can

view and purchase crafts. Clean up at the end of the festival. We will need volunteers to remove the decorations, clean up and

put the FLC back in order. Game Ideas

Second we need donations: Candy, candy and more candy (prefer candy without Halloween theme designs) Also looking for other types of prizes. Do you have stuffed animals in GOOD shape, silicone

bracelets, trinkets, etc., that you can donate? 120 hot dogs (Carolina Packers & Regular) - Donated so far: 24 Chicken Dogs 120 buns

The flowers in the Sanctuary today are given by Janet, Jerry and Patricia to the glory of God and in honor of Mrs. Frances Hall.
