14 And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the Lord hathhath given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee.

There was no doubtno doubt in either Rahab's mind nor in the mind of the spies of the outcomeof the outcome.

Jericho at this time was surrounded by two walls about 15 feet apart. Planks of wood spanned the gap and then houses were built on this foundation. Probably due to the pressure of space in the small city, Rahab’s house was one of those built “on the wall.” In this way it was “part of the city wall”.

Will you listen and heed good counsel?

Or are you so arrogant that you ignore it?

Counsel = Prudence or wisewise counsel.

Only a fool refusesrefuses to listen when he is given good advicegood advice.

He goes his own way and sufferssuffers.

The same cord Rahab used for the saving of these Israelites, was to be used for her own safety. What we serve and honor God with, we may expect He will bless, and make useful to us.
