• How you serve the Lord Jesus in this life depends on your attitude.  In the Lord's eyes attitude is everything.  It is not how much you do that is important but the attitude with which you do it.

• The Lord Jesus Christ wants you to have an attentive, loving and caring heart and He can only give this to you as you yield every area of your life to Him.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, you will desire to apply God's Word to your daily life.

John 4:23  But a time is coming — and now is here — when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to be his worshipers.

(21)  In him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,  (22)  in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

Hebrews 12:2-3  keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. (3)  Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up.

Because you will have difficulties and problems, what are you to do so that your attitude will remain correct?

Heb 13:17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls and will give an account for their work. Let them do this with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for you.

If you really love the Lord, what will you do?

1 Cor. 13:1-8  If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  (2)  And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.  (3)  If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.  (4)  Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up.

(5)  It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.  (6)  It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.  (7)  It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  (8)  Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

The word "charity" in I Corinthians 13 really means "love". Name 7 positive things love will do and 9 negative things it will not do.
