...the Bible teaches every Christian that now that we are in the household our lives and all that we do must centre around Christ. Our deeds and our words must centre around Jesus. Our lives must, in all aspects, reflect Jesus and point people Jesus-ward and not us-ward. We must not be tempted to draw the attention to ourselves, for when we do so we become proud, shine Christ less and promote ourselves. We become the centre of our lives and drink down our throats the wine of autonomy that the world is offering to us.

Christ the Center by King Julius Kwedhi Some Christians don't know whom they are serving. They want to be like unbelievers they live among. They think they're in a circus: one moment they have a costume for Church. At another a costume for the world. There is no reverence and no respect for Jesus. They are not heeding God's Word to sanctify, to set Christ apart as Holy and acknowledge Him as Lord God in our hearts. They are afraid of talking about Jesus more often. They don't want to be asked too many questions about their Christian faith. They don't want to be exclusively numbered among the Christians and be treated primarily as such. They don't. In fact they just want to be known as spiritual people and that's it. Yet, in the final analysis, being a Christian and a heaven-bound child of God, is all that will matter. But how did we come to this, fighting for worldly recognition instead of lifting up the name of Jesus HIGHER, HIGHER AND HIGHER? I thought the Bible teaches every Christian that now that we are in the household our lives and all that we do must centre around Christ. Our deeds and our words must centre around Jesus. If Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord of our lives then He MUST be the Lord and people shouldn't be confused about your identity whether you are Christ's or merely camouflaging under His name. If Christ is controversial then we must not make ourselves the centre of that controversy instead of Christ. Don't steal Jesus' spotlight. Let Him have it. You take the background seat. "But in your hearts set Christ apart [and acknowledge Him] as Lord..." (1 Peter 3:15 AMP)
