The history of HR technology starts in the 1800s with Frederick Winslow Taylor
Taylor advocated functional foremanship for achieving ultimate specification
Those includes use of instruction cards, strict
rules & regulations, graphs, slides, charts etc, so as to increase efficiency
of workers
Many of the technologies we enjoy in civilian life were originally developed by the military
Commercial diaries like those that “Letts” printed still
represented the cutting edge of time management tools for
many, even though they’d been on the scene for nearly a century
The industrial revolution brought numerous innovations to the manufacturing process
