Information Technology Solutions

Industry: Higher Education

Number of Users: 5,000

SOLUTION:

To address the compliance audit

requirement, the customer required two

specific features within PortalGuard:

1. 'Lockout Inactive Users' after a specific

time period.

2. During a new Active Directory user

account creation, to email the user their

username and generated password. The

user has twenty-four hours to login and reset

the generated password to a value that they

will remember. If the user fails to initiate the

account by logging in and changing the

password then the customer wanted to

expire the user's account in Active Directory.

The project was successful and PortalGuard

was an easy and cost effective solution to

address their compliance requirements.
