1. General Settings

To configure general extension settings please go to Stores -> Configuration -> Customer Attributes
Please set this option to ‘Yes’ to see the attributes when you select a customer during order creation from the backend.

Set to ‘Yes’ to let customers choose and change their customer group. To make the option work please create customer attribute of ‘Customer Group Selector’ type (see page 6).

To create a new attribute please go to Customers -> Customer Attributes -> Manage Attributes

Click here to add a new attribute.

Specify an attribute label and code. The code will be used only for internal needs.
NOTE: after the attribute code is specified and saved it can’t be changed.

Select the store view for which the attribute will be available.

Specify the value which will be shown by default if necessary. If you want the attribute
value to be unique for each customer, please set this option to “Yes”.
If the option is set to ‘yes’ customers won’t be able to leave this attribute field empty while getting registered.

You can choose the type of input validation.

Specify attribute title that will be visible on the frontend.

Choose input types with images (Multiple checkbox select with images, Single radio buttons select with images) to upload pictures for attribute values.

Show customer attributes on the grid when you choose a customer for orders generated from the backend.

Show additional attributes on the Customers grid. On the grid you can filter the list of shoppers using custom attributes. E.g. you can find out where customers see information about your store and fine tune your marketing strategy accordingly.

Note: It’s also possible to display custom attributes on the order grid as well as on the order info page.

Show custom attributes on the customer info page. You can edit attributes for already existing customers and specify attribute values for new customers which you create from the admin panel.

You can choose whether to show or hide particular attributes if they have already been specified by a customer during registration.

NOTE: reports are created only for selectable attributes such as checkboxes, multiple selects, dropdowns, yes/no and radio buttons.

6. How to correctly disable the extension

IMPORTANT: The Customer Attributes extension affects the functionality of native Magento attributes. Therefore, please make sure you have deleted all custom attributes created with the module before disabling it.
