1. Questionnaire evaluationThis question shows the amount of
males andfemales who carried the questionnaire. This information
indicates that more females carriedout the questionnaire than
males. This indicates thatI should focus a majority of my music
video towardsthe female viewer but not completely dismiss themale
audience completely and still have elementsthat they would
enjoy. This question allowed me to find out who I should aimmy video
towards. I didnt want to go below the age of16 because some of the
content I wanted to add in thevideo would be seen as inappropriate
to those under theage of 16.By the majority of participants for the
questionnaireanswering that they are 16 20 allows me to
continuewith my choice of wanting to aim my video to 16 20year olds
but still have elements that suit a largedemographic.
2. The response to this question was a great reliefto see.
Personally my group and I wanted to doa music video based around
house music andknowing that our audience would like to seewhat we
envision for the house genre. This question allowed me to find out
how theaudience would like there video to be setwhether with a
story line or totally creative. The answers indicated that the
audienceprefer a narrative - following a story line.
3. Question 5 allowed me to find out what type ofprops,
costumes and characters I needed toinclude in the music video. The
answers from the participants showed that Ishould include people
singing, strobe lighting anda party scene.I will include a number
of the expected elementsbut as a group we decided to not include an
exactparty scene due to the fact we are aiming ittowards those
between the age of 16 18 whomay not be of drinking age and one
elements of aparty is alcohol.
4. I chose to ask this questionbecause my group wanted toengage
the audience in as much aspossible. It is important to have anactor
in the music video that theaudience would connect with. Amajority
of the questionnaireparticipants where female andthey felt that
having a femaleactor would be best to use. Due tothe fact that they
would be able torelate to the female character andenjoy the video
more.8 Female actress2- male5 undecided
5. Question 7When thinking about House music videos there vibes
arebased on positivity and having fun. A number of ourparticipants
selected Happy (58.42 %).Which we will take into an account.By
having a happy vibe it allows us to have a moreenjoyable filming
day with the cast and crew.Question 8
6. The question was used to find out if our audience wouldenjoy
my group creating a music video. The purpose of amusic video
globally is to show case a song. If the majoritydidnt watch music
videos every day we would have toprobably go back to the drawing
board and consider otherprojects for our A2 course work such as a
short film.By asking this question we can findout how our music
video should befilmed and edited. Our main aim is to attract
ouraudience and the best way toattract our desired audience is to
fitour music video around some oftheir favourite music videos. As a
group now, we can cometogether and discuss our ideas inorder to
create a final idea a longwith a shot list
7. The sole purpose of this questionnaire was to find out what
the audience wanted to see in a musicvideo. By a majority of the
participants wanting to see multiple locations this will be a
factor my groupwill add into the music video.
