Hi. My name is Michael, and I work at Peculr

What is Peculr?

What is Peculr? Simply, an online community platform

where Christian people of many different backgrounds who come from

many different parts of the world connect and share Christian life, ideas,

resources, hope, and inspiration.

The Problem

There are 12 reasons why we created this project

First Problem

It is easy to find people on popular social networks who share your

interests…

…but it’s difficult to know if they share your Christian values and beliefs. We see a need to help Christians discover

other Christians.

Second Problem

In a small church or small group, you can create a close bond with members

around church activities and learning about Christ…

...but many times no one in the church or group shares your deeper passions and

interests. There is a need to help Christians connect with

like-minded Christians.

Third Problem

We notice many Christians are on social networks sharing content…

...but Christians are scattered among large popular networks which causes their

message of hope and inspiration to go unnoticed. We recognize an opportunity

to help Christians reach more people with their content.  

Fourth Problem When people search online for a church to

visit they only find information about the pastor, the mission, church programs,

and events.

However, a church is made up of people, and rarely, if never, are you able to find

information about the non working members of the church. There is a need

to help visitors connect with the Christians in the church.

Fifth Problem

Christians, like anyone else, move to different locations, schools, and jobs. Christians often desire to know whether anyone in the new location, school, or job share their values…

...but it isn't always easy to find other Christians in your new environment. We noticed the need to help Christians connect with other Christians in

their new environment. 

Sixth Problem

In this world, Christian events are always happening…

...but we find that many Christians don't hear about the event until it's pasted or until it’s

too close to plan for the trip. There is a need to help Christians connect with Christian events.

Seventh Problem

Many people desire to be a witness and impact people’s lives

for Christ…

...but many Christians never or rarely ever communicate the freedom we've been given through Christ Jesus.  We see a

need to help Christians be a light to the world.

Eighth Problem

There are many social networks on the internet where you can connect with

Christians…

…but not all of the content is free from debate, ugly comments, nudity, and

profanity. We see the need for a network that is positive and encouraging.

Ninth Problem

Many Christian professionals, businesses, and Christian creatives can find people in the

world to offer their services to…

...but many professionals and creatives desire to have a Christian customer base. There's

a need to help Christian businesses connect with Christian customers.

Tenth Problem

Small and medium size churches are operating programs or have lots of great ideas to impact their local community…

...but only a handful of people are doing the work; and they’re usually overworked. We

notice a need to help church leaders connect with skilled Christians or willing

helpers. 

Eleventh Problem

There are many churches around the world filled with people...

…but sadly, and maybe not intentionally, the Christian church looks segregated.  Therefore,

we see the need for an integrated Christian community that mirrors the

kingdom of heaven.

Twelfth Problem Stick around for the last one. 

The Solution

We noticed all of these problems can be summed

up into one solution.
