Dear Greg, I saw your latest video called “Freedom Builders” and I really feel that you were speaking to me directly. I’ve been working in Finance since I was 21. After 4 years of business school, 18 years of working as an Analyst, I haven’t achieved my career goals. Next year I’ll turn 40 and I don’t want to waste another minute sitting at a cubicle deteriorating. I’ve always wanted to start my own business, but always thought it was difficult and expensive. I’ve been following both Million Dollar Case Studies and have learned more than I ever thought was capable. Even though I don’t have the Jungle Scout Web App or Extension, I have found 3 potential products that I can private label. Thanks to you, I’ve already: gotten a professional email address, started to get quotes from suppliers, am getting quotes from designers to create my brand’s logo, and continue to do keyword research. Retail Price = £26.99

Marketing/PPC = 5% of £26.99 = £1.35

FBA fees = £6.14

Cost per unit (FOB) = £7.10

Shipping = £0.5 (for 1 kg)

Duties = 12% of £7.10 = £0.85

Landed cost = (£7.10 + £0.5 + £0.85) = £8.45

VAT = (20% of £26.99) = £4.50

Profit = £26.99 - £1.35 - £6.14 - £8.45 - £4.50

Profit = £6.55

What I learnt:

◍ Quoted price from my initial outreach increased across the board for all suppliers I spoke to

◍ In order to get a high quality product, with a reliable supplier, I needed to adjust profit calculations

Decisions:

◍ Go with quality and a high end product – many experienced sellers want to sell higher ticket items in order to grow their business

◍ Expand the business internationally to the US and Germany
