This checklist serves as orientation of Asia Quality Focus inspection services and is in no way exhaustive. Some checkpoints can be modified based on the workload required to perform the inspection. It can be customized as per the client’s requirements. We cordially invite our clients to consult with the AQF team and its dedicated account manager for further information.
A — WORKMANSHIP CHECK
Sample size AQF proposes to use ISO 2859 (AQL table) and recommends the general inspection level II per reference, and different special inspection levels depending on the test performed (as per below tables).
Defects All kind of defects are taken into account, counted, photographed and categorized as below: ! A Minor defect is a discrepancy from the standards, but one that is not likely to affect the usability of an object. It
also indicates substandard workmanship and areas that need improvement. ! A Major defect is likely to create failure of the unit for its intended purpose or affect its sale due to obvious
appearance defect. ! A Critical defect is one that is deemed to be hazardous or unsafe for individuals using or maintaining the product. It
also includes defect contravening legal regulations. Defects examples: Color shade, Discrepancy with approval sample, Misalignment of stitches, Seam opened/poor sewing, Jump stitching, Piled stitches, Poor binding, Poor lining, Handle missing, Zipper misaligned, Loose handle, Loose seam / stitches, Drawn yarn, Open seam, Puckers, Broken stitches /
jump stitches / run off stitches, Needle holes, Wrong color of thread / fabric, Poor sewing, Untrimmed thread, Blur logo end and more.
Note: A list of all the common defects with their classification is also available if needed, feel free to contact your Account Manager.
B — QUANTITY CHECK
Number of pieces finished and under production, Quantity of cartons, Quantity of units per carton (checked randomly on 3 cartons per reference), etc.
C — SPECIFICATIONS, LABELLING & PACKAGING CHECK
C1 Shipping Marks
The result depends on the customer requirements: Conformed / Not conformed / Pending Non-conformities examples: Dirty / dusty, Export carton box wet / damaged / torn through inside gift box, Loose
part, foreign extra material inside carton, Misaligned logo, Missing silica gel, Wrong bar code label is used, Carton size is too big/too small for internal box, Wrong barcode or serial number (on unit, gift box, carton), Missed / incorrect
/ unscannable / damaged barcode, Misleading/incorrect descriptions/claims and more.

Check the inside stuffing and take clear photos. It should be conform to specifications, no dirty or abnormal stuffing, no odor.

If factory couldn’t provide professional cutting tool and accurate scale for fabric weight check, result is pending
E13 Loading test S-2
Load the dead weight as per claimed, lift up and down for 20 times, then hang up for 4 hours
F — OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION AND PICTURES
Additional factory and inspection pictures Factory gate, production line, a scene during inspection, inspection site or environment, office, inspected cartons / products, etc.
Measuring & testing equipment used for this inspection
Identification #, Description, Calibration date, Due invalid date
Sample tracking summary Tracking, pictures and disposal of samples: golden/reference sample, defective samples, production samples.
Negative observations The cartons were stacked too high, more than 6 feet / 1.8 meter high. The cartons were placed on the ground directly in warehouse. Glasses of window were broken in the warehouse. Some water was found on the floor in warehouse, but no wet carton was found. The workers did not pay extra attention during handling or re-packing. Inspection room was too small for a smooth inspection. The factory could not provide gloves to inspector when necessary during the inspection.
The factory did not provide enough workers to help the inspections. The inspection room was too dark for a smooth inspection. The products were not manufactured in this factory (production lines were not found).
