The Kiosk

The construction of the Kiosk building completed Internal decoration is underway. Furniture items to be procured finalized. Cooperation with local stakeholder—VDC, Forest Users’ Group is

still in process. Collection of IEC materials for the Kiosk is in process.

Challenges

Transport cost incurred is more than expected. People have more expectation from the project Due to repeated aftershocks, people are reluctant to stone/mud

wall. Some beneficiaries lack sufficient salvage materials. Some people cut trees from forest. Enamel painted donor logo is an extra hassle Smooth functioning of Kiosk—who holds the key ?

Way forward

Building walls with the local materials available---wood, old CGI and Bamboo.

More orientations and counselling to encourage their contribution Discourage people to use forest woods. Involve local clubs, government authority or school for

cooperation in running Kiosk
