3 Methods to Fix Cracked Basement Wall
By: Foundation Repair New York

Method #1: Apply Polyurethane Foam

Polyurethan Foam is a flexible and rigid material made of aromatic isocyanate - used for moldings, oftentimes fixing wall cracks.

Step-by-step Application

Clean the area using a wire brush with soap and water.

Make sure to insert the tip of the bottle into the crack before injecting the foam.

The foam should expand, filling the entire area.

Once done, apply a sealant.

Seek a professional help (347) 809-5544 should there's no visible improvement.

Method #2: Apply Hydraulic Cement

Hydraulic Cement is a non-corrosive type of cement that is made of hydraulic calcium silicates and calcium sulfate. It is commonly used for stopping fluid leaks in masonry walls.

Step-by-step Application

Clean the crack area using soap and water.

Fill the area with hydraulic cement.

Press and even the surface using a trowel.

Make sure to use the cement at least two or three inches past the crack.

When these procedures fail, it's a sign of foundation problems. Call (347) 809-5544 for assistance.

Method #3: Seek Professional Help

Should cracks are horizontal, never fix anything.

Contact a team of professionals ASAP (347) 809-5544.

Who Are These Professionals?
