• Social welfare administration has twin concepts of social welfare and administration embedded in it. Thus it requires an understanding of welfare and its origins as well as administration as a tool for achieving welfare
Introduction
Social welfare administration refers to the process of applying professional competence to implementing certain programme of social welfare through social agencies in fulfillment objects and policy of the agency.
Introduction
Administration as a part of governance is as old as society itself. People in a society have inherently tried to take care of destitute and underprivileged individuals.In order to make a voluntary agency more effective to render social welfare services to the community, it has to adopt certain administrative, financial andprocedural practices which every voluntary worker has to understand.

Social work profession involves enhancing the socialfunctioning of individuals and groups for which various methods are employed. Case work, group work and community organization are considered as core methods. In addition social welfare administration, social research and social action have developed subsequently as separate methods which are found to be very effective in performing the social work role.

An executive must be well qualified and skillful towards handling the tasks of angency and its employs. He must be
responsible and punctual of his position and regarding development of agency. He should maintain good relati0ns with the
staff agency and with other agencys.
Orientation and training
An immediat work executive officer to guide and give instructions of working to the new staff members as they joins the agency according to their positions. And they should have consisting training campaigns for their employs in policies and programs of agency.
Terms and conditions
An agency must have terms and conditions for their employs under which each worker works responsibly. And should be in a way that would be quite attracting towards agency and its job as compared to govt agencies

Making reports about their works is an important part for the development of an agency. It also helps informing the community about their activities to have a good feedback from them in future by raising more funds from them.

In report writing, should keep in mind to mention the whole services provided by agency and about the one that is benefited by them, about their progrss and the funds that is utilized annually and also about the coming plans and services. And all the reports should be written in well manner and covers the necessary points as far as possible.
Purpose of evaluation:
In order to see that funds are properly utilized by a social welfare agency and that there is an effective method and organization of providing services to the community, periodical evaluation of agency’s functioning is very necessary

Internal evaluation:• It is a continuous process• In internal evaluation the staff, board members and the
beneficiaries participate. External evaluation:• External evaluation is conducted by an outside agency,
governmental or non-governmental.• To find out how the money is utilized by grantee agency.
Functions of Evaluation:
• To check up the efficiency of the agency• To get further for sound planning• We can measure accomplishment in order to
avoid further mistakes.• To see the efficiency and skills of employees• To understand the participation of community
in any welfare programme
Principles of evaluation:
• It is a continuous process• It should involve minimum expenditures• Avoid disturbing day-to-day work• Evaluation should be done on cooperative
basis• Overall evaluation of the agency will reveal
both strength and weakness
Areas of evaluation:• Purpose: the broad objective and how far it is being
fulfilled• Programmes: which programme has been set to fulfill the
objectives• Staff: it revolves around expertise of staff• Board and committees: to introduce some improvements
and study basis qualification of members before hiring.• Future plans: study of future plans be the evaluation
committee may be as useful as evaluation of the present programme.
