Turkey is a nation in western Asia and southeastern Europe bordered by Greece, Bulgaria,

Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Syria and the Black Sea. The biggest city in

Turkey is Istanbul but its capital is Ankara.

Turkey has close to seventy-seven million people and Islam is the dominant religion.

It is a secular state but even though the constitution guarantees religious freedom

it is not fully upheld in most parts of the nation.
