Kaneana is just a couple of miles up the road toward the end of the line.Directly across from this marker is a cave. A very large and ancient cave.

Here’s the plaque at the foot of the marker which tells the ancient Hawaiian story.

Page 2: Pray for Sex Beach

Here’s one view of Kaneana from outside. It goes way deep inside, upward to who knows where, but spirals downward

and underneath returning to the beach several hundred yards away.

Page 3: Pray for Sex Beach

I walked up high and fairly deep and took this shot looking back. It’s difficult to get too many good pictures in here, it is very dark!

There’s my friend Paulette which gives you an idea of the cave’s massive size.

Page 4: Pray for Sex Beach

I went deeper, and deeper. Water dripped from the deepness of the rock above, and I could barely see any further.

Neither afraid of the dark, nor claustaphobic, I opt to continue.

Well, here’s a picture I took moving onward into the endless cave even with a flash!Way to dark for most cameras.

Page 5: Pray for Sex Beach

Yeah, like this is helping huh?Next time I take a flashlight.

So I returned toward the light.

Page 6: Pray for Sex Beach

I made a deep left turn and descend downward.Following this passage a couple hundred yards will take you down under and through the mountain

and end you up back on the beach.

Page 7: Pray for Sex Beach

Here’s another shot from the outside and people to give you an idea of it’s size.

Page 8: Pray for Sex Beach

Of course, you might come up to Pray For Sex beach. This was painted on in 1967, and has stuck ever since!

I live in Makaha Beach. Pray For Sex is two, or three beaches up.

Page 9: Pray for Sex Beach

A pretty nice beach in, and of itself.Usually desolate.

Of course, here’s where you might come out or go in a cave.

Page 10: Pray for Sex Beach

Here’s a very large and deep tide pool. It’s about 20 feet in diameter, and about 6 feet deep.

Jump! There were a few of these around. These are all at Pray For Sex.

A shot northerly.

And ahhh. ..the cave. This is probably one of Oahu’s most secret areas.

Page 12: Pray for Sex Beach

Figures, it’s right in my neck of the woods!Cool!

Above Pray For Sex toward the mountains, or “mauka.”

Page 13: Pray for Sex Beach

It started to drizzle a bit. It’s warm, and who cares?

In Hawaii, our motto is: “Ainokea.”That’s pidgin for “I don’t care.”

(I no care)

Page 14: Pray for Sex Beach

Here’s a shot of Makua Valley.Again, this is the pristine, unspoiled Wai`anae Coast.

Home, Sweet Home.

Page 15: Pray for Sex Beach

I found this really cool garden people work on.This is Makua Beach. A deserted beach as well, it’s the next beach up from Pray For Sex.

Page 16: Pray for Sex Beach

Pretty cool, huh?Feel free to stop by and contribute. There area few people who contantly care for this sacred area.

Again, most of Hawaiian lands are considered sacred.

Just taking it all in.

Page 17: Pray for Sex Beach

This picture tells the relationship of the garden to the beach. You’ll not find this in Waikiki, and this is a difficult place to find as it is!

Very, very cool.

Page 18: Pray for Sex Beach

I am very proud to live here and inherit this rich culture.I have indeed, inherited the earth!

So that’s it.Just went out for a Sunday stroll up a beach or two.

I ran out of memory, but this was a last shot near Hercules Rock. It’s about a 20 foot rock where we dive from.

Perhaps next time!

Page 19: Pray for Sex Beach

So long Pray For Sex. . .

And remember, that IS a light at the of the tunnel. . .it’s NOT a train!

Aloha!
