Abstract  

STEM4you(th)  seeks  to  produce  a  comprehensive,  mulIdisciplinary  series  of  courses  presenIng  key  STEM  discipline  challenges  to  support  young  people,  primarily  high  school  students  aged  14-­‐19,  formal  and  informal  educaIon.  The  content  will  be  organized  around:  MathemaIcs,  Physics,  Astronomy,  Chemistry,  Engineering  and  Medicine.

Abstract  The  scope  and  tangible  results  are:  1.  A  mulIdisciplinary  guide  developed  for  different  

exploitaIon  channels  2.  Methodologies  and  tools  tailored  to  present  the  

scienIfic  challenges  in  an  a`racIve  way  (learning  by  experiment,  gamin,  ciIzen  science  at  schools)  

3.  RecommendaIons  on  STEM  learning  best  pracIces  and  formal  school  curricula  (input  to  the  EU  policy)

WP3  CiIzen  Science  at  School  The  general  objecIve  of  this  WP  is  to  pilot  the  introducIon  of  CiIzen  Science  concepts  and  methodologies  at  school,  as  a  complementary  method  to  the  producIon  of  new  contents.    

ParIcipatory  pilot  research  projects  will  be  built  together  with  school  boys  and  girls  on:  human  mobility  and  decision  making.      The  research  approach  will  involve  young  boys  and  girls  in  all  the  steps  of  a  research  project:    1.  the  original  idea,  the  design  of  the  experiment,  2.  the  preparaIon  and  logisIcs  of  the  experiment,    3.  the  experiment  itself,    4.  the  treatment  of  the  data  and  the  model/conclusions  drawing.

PhD  opportunity  

•  Research  using  parIcipatory  pracIces  and  running  physically  embedded  collecIve  experiments  on  human  mobility  and/or  human  decision  making  with  experiments  situated  in  real-­‐world  but  controlled  scenarios.
