Leadership of the AIC has met with and fostered relationships with more than 64 companies and agencies since the inception
AIC has submitted 8 proposals and letters of intent to businesses and government

AIC has 4 Master Services Agreements (MSA) signed with business – MSA’s are founding documents to allow work and task orders

Ascel Bio Corporation provides infectious disease forecasting and outbreak warnings as a service for hospitals, public health, government agencies, and risk managers.
Ascel Bio left Colorado to come to Reno to partner with the DRI AIC and UNR School of Public Health.
This has the potential to make Nevada the worldwide center for disease forecasting.
Ascel Bio has offered DRI an equity stake in the company for AIC applied research services.
Market reports are predicting that the Infectious disease diagnostic (IDD) market is estimated to reach $18 billion by 2019.

Information Technology - Continue support for the AIC
to expand efforts to develop and apply innovation-based
solutions for Nevada businesses and industry.
Water Technology - Expand support for the Nevada COE
to continue the development of new technologies, service
and delivery systems, applied research, and advanced
workforce development.
Biotechnology - Provide funding for an interdisciplinary
science center focused on microbial metabolic products
and processes that would aid with the development of the
biotechnology industry in Nevada.
Clean Energy – In conjunction with NSHE institutions and
private-sector energy producers provide support to
address issues related to operations, performance, and
functional life of solar energy systems.
Aerospace and Defense – Provide funding for NSHE
institutions to partner with private sector entities to build
technologies in support of UAS development and
deployment.
