LATEST DEVELOPMENTVarious Infrastructure & Industrial developments are going on in & around Jhajjar. Most
significant of them is Reliance MET, Reliance is developing an Industrial Township at the border of Delhi /Gurgaon in Jhajjar district of Haryana. The large land bank of about 8250 acres holds the promise of substantial development.
The government of Haryana approved Reliance MET, is under development as a fully integrated industrial township with all the benefits of domestic tariff areas, special economic zones, industry clusters with support infrastructure of logistics hub and social infrastructure including residential, commercial, recreational and institutional development.
RELIANCE MET- LANDMARK FOR JHAJJAREstablishment of Reliance MET is approved by
Haryana Government. Already received Environment clearance from MoEF for 1,860 acres, Phase-1.License for development of Industrial Colony for 290 acres obtained.License for an additional land of approx. 400 acres is under process.Notification under section 6 dated June 2014 for acquisition of land for rail connectivity for Private Freight Terminal in MET.Reliance MET to be directly connected to the National Highways ( NH-2, NH-8, NH-71, NH-10) in NCR via the under construction Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.
Two major district roads (MDRs), viz, Jhajjar-Badli-Delhi (MDR 123) and Bahadurgarh-Badli-Chandu (MDR 136) are four laned and pass along the Northern and Eastern parts of the MET respectively.
The IGI Airport, New Delhi is only 49 km from the site via SH-15A & NH-8. However this distance would be reduced to about 30km via SH-15 & NPR
Having received License for an Industrial colony, development has already started over an area of ~290 acres. Panasonic India Pvt Ltd. ( ~ 75 acres) and Denso Haryana Pvt Ltd. ( ~18 acres) have already started operations and are employing ~2000 persons.
DEVELOPEMNT In & Around JhajjarThe second campus of the leading national institute All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is being developed over an area of 300 acres of land in village Badsa along MDR 136 within the MET area. The first phase of this facility would house the National Cancer Institute and Hospital. An outreach OPD department is already functional and work on the development of this super specialty hospital is to start shortly
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, the premier institution in the country, has taken possession of about 50 acres of land for a research and development centre in village Badsa.
XLRI,63-year-old premier B-school, also India’s oldest, has acquired 20 acres at Jhajjar, Haryana, 50km from New Delhi and well connected by road, for its new campus.Their investment is around Rs 150 crore.
SGT University is having a sprawling campus on approx 60 acres in village Budhera on MDR 136. The University is a residential campus with Medical college, Dental college, Engineering college, Law and many more courses
