Evaluation Of Contents And Front Page

My masthead was inspired by ‘Vibez’ magazine. The simplistic cont with a slight hint of red outer glow to help it stand out I inserted a slogan and issue

number to help maintain the codes of music magazines.

A website image link, so customers can access the website via smart phone, this can be seen as a convention as it’s a modern aspect

My main image is of a boy who in this magazine is the main artist the magazine is going to be about (Hamdidlez) He is posed looking up, this can infer that he’s reaching for success.I have used a gradient effect on him to give it a black and white effect to go with the background.

Here is the barcode I have used, this also is a code.

I have used bold subheadings similar to the masthead, followed by lower cased writing to embellish on the subheading.

To give it a more professional touch to it, and help the masthead stand out, I have used a darkened tone of gradient fill for this section

I have used a grey gradient fill for the background, I shall use this effect throughout my magazine.

To stick to the codes of music magazines I have added in the monthly issue date.

I have used a similar font to my front cover for the title ‘contents’ I have also used the same technique to help it stand out by inserting a red rectangle behind it.

A darker gradient fill at the op to serve as a banner. This is also similar to the front cover

The subheading ‘Features’ I have used from the NME magazine as I thought it was an effective layout of displaying contents.

A similar technique was used from the front cover to help show main point in larger font then extra info in a lower cased font.

I have also inserted a competition to help it fit into the odes and conventions.The competition is outlined in a darker toned box to help it stand out.

I have used two images of featured artists for visual pleasure, and to help the contents page seem boring and bland. One is of a boy band, the other is a single artist.
