What is Quora?• A public online forum where people of

all backgrounds go to ask questions and seek answers

• Anyone can read any question and its answers

• Readers vote answers up or down based on their quality• The more upvotes an answer to a

question has, the more visibility it gets on Quora and on Twitter

• Authors gain credibility by posting good answers

• If no one has asked a question you think needs to be answered, you can ask the question and then answer it yourself

knowledge. We want to democratize access to knowledge of all kinds—from politics to painting, cooking to coding, etymology to experiences—so if someone out there knows something, anyone else can learn it. Quora makes it easy to get your questions answered, share your own knowledge, and browse the most interesting information people across the world want to share.

Quora ProfileAs an author, you create a profile that describes who you are and what you know so that the network can recommend other users to ask you to answer questions.

It has links to go visit your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn Profiles, and to follow you.

It also links to view questions you have asked, answers you have written, blog posts you’ve made on Quora, your followers, and who you follow. In this example, you can see a feed of the most recent three questions I answered.

NEW! You can create a Company Profile Page, but there is a process through which you must get approved by Quora’s management.
