Company’s Goal:

The first goal is to get 20,000 subscribers within 6 to 8 months with a conversion rate of 2-5% i.e. from free to paid users. Our company’s ideal goal is to slowly target and convert a sizeable percentage of 1.6 billion android users, so that everyone gets to hear their favourite tunes in the highest quality.

Proposed course of action:

First course of action is mainly app publicity on social media sites, so that after 6-8 months we get a revenue of $2000 per month. After first phase of 6 months appropriate recommendations will be made in the app from the data collected in this time period and a bigger campaign will be launched after that.

StreamRoller is the ultimate app to feed your music addiction. Listen to your favourite tunes on the go. You can stream high quality music on your android device, and can also download the music through the offline mode, if you don't have internet connectivity.

Target Customers

The target segment is majorly the age group 15-25, school and college going students.

This is so because this is the segment which spends a large amount of their time on laptops/cell phones, and are majority users of most of the music streaming apps.

The business and working class are also the target segments as most of their work is technology-centric and revolves around mobiles and laptops.

Goal

The first goal is to get 20,000 subscribers within the first 6 to 8 months with a conversion rate of 2-5% i.e. from free to paid users.

For earning revenue from the free version of the app, Admob will be used. Admob will generate $1 per 1000 “ad impressions” and $0.25 per “clicks”.

If per free user is exposed to 10 ad impressions then its expected to get a revenue of $337.75 from the free users and $2474.5 from paid users (paying a minimum of $3.99 per month) after 6 to 8 months.

Target Market

The target market for StreamRoller is 1.6 billion Android/iOS users.

Customers- Teens and working class, which spends a large amount of their time on laptops/cell phones, and like to listen to music on the go.

Value Offering

StreamRoller is of high value to anyone using it. Other than listening to high quality music onthe go, one can download, sync, tune in to radios and view lyrics.

It also comes with its own social media network for our users to connect and discuss.

The referral system is going to be put into use, through which free users can help the app reach more people, by sending referral links to other people for some incentive/gift from StreamRoller.

Social media marketing is a vital tool for us to spread the word. StreamRoller is going to make full use of Facebook, Twitter and other social networks to make it talk of the town.

Also, we plan on participating in various app awards such as AppyAwards etc, as they receive a lot of media coverage and free publicity.

Distribution

The product is going to be available on various platforms including Android,iOS and Windows.

Infrastructure

The success of the product will depend upon app developers(core to the company), who will enhance user experience and addnew app functionalities.

App developers will also need toupdate the app database so as to include more effective newtreatment methods for new diseases.

The panel of doctors who are collaborators of our company arerequired to answer the questions asked by the users.

Processes

• StreamRoller follows the Freemium model. We will try to make the free features attractive enough to pull in more free users, and generate revenue through ads.

• Then we will create a need for the premium features, and get the conversion rate up to 3-4% or even more depending upon the number of free users.

• I will also put into use the referral system through which free users can help the app reach more people, by sending referral links to other people for some incentive/gift from StreamRoller.

• Further modifications will be made to the app after reviewing user’s experience with the app for 6-8 months such that maximum revenue can be earned and at the same time make the customers happy. Final modifications will be followed by mass campaigning of the product.

Schedule

Selecting people from varied backgrounds for app publicity insocial media sites should be done within a month, selectinga pool of approximate 20 doctors from all domains of healthshould also be done within a month.

If our firm can’t earn more than $3000 per month within aperiod of 6 to 8 months then the whole marketing plan has tobe reviewed in light of the new data collected for 6 to 8months.
