LOW CLEARANCE SPLIT FRAME (LCSF)

14 models are available to cut, bevel and counterbore all pipe from 2” through 48” (ND50 – ND1200) on all wall thicknesses and alloys.

The LCSF is ideal for all types of pipe cutting and end-prepping. The split frame machines can be split in half or ‘broken open’, then bolted back together. This allows them to open and mount around the O.D. of in-line piping, or they can be slipped over open-ended pipe. The LCSF has been engineered to apply precise consistent square cuts and bevels on pipe, tube and casing the first time, every time. Set up and operate the LCSF quickly. Using a split frame is a safe, clean operation that neither affects the metallurgical qualities nor places airborne contaminants into the environment.

GUILLOTINE® PIPE SAWThe four models available, Super C through the Goliath, cold cut 2” through 32” (50.8 mm – 812.8mm) pipe of all materials, as well as solids such as bar stock and rails. With their efficient operation, compact design and ease of setup, these models provide fast, accurate cold cutting of pipe for contractors, water departments, gas companies and refineries, as well as nuclear industry, petrochemical plants, processing, paper and general industry plant maintenance departments.

TRAV-L-CUTTERTM

The Wachs Trav-L-CutterTM is a portable milling machine for severing and beveling all machinable pipe materials, wall thicknesses and sizes from 6” (ND150) and up. Secured to the pipe by a special tensioning chain, the Trav-L-CutterTM drives itself around the pipe as it mills.

FAST ANd ACCurATe Wachs special milling cutters remove 3/16” (4.8 mm) of metal while cutting, leaving the pipe ends with a smooth, machined finish.

The flexible tensioning chain feed system accommodates out-of-round conditions while providing positive drive under field conditions.

By using an optional guide track and special guide track wheels, accuracy of 0.005” / 0.13 mm can be maintained even in zero visibility situations on all pipe sizes. This cutting method facilitates section removal in the field where new sections can be easily dropped into place.

The Trav-L-Cutter has weld bevel capabilities of a standard 30º & 37.5º.(Call factory for custom tools).

LPM/SOCkET WELD REMOVAL SYSTEM

The low profile split frame machine utilizes either a collet or a versatile four-leg clamping system that automatically centers and squares the machine on the pipe. Radial or axial cutting slides remove welds on fittings without violating the parent material.

Setting up for a cut is incredibly quick and easy. Either a pneumatic or electric drive is available.

In addition the LPM Split Frame series offers a super-lightweight low profile/low clearance split frame for severing, beveling and counter boring 2” through 8” (ND50 – 200) pipe or tube for all pipe schedules.
