Where are they positioned?Could be on the left or right side of the body. This creates the effect of a shadowed side and the other half has light shined upon.

Level 3 - How does this lighting effect create atmosphere?This type of lighting gives the impression of a depressed atmosphere. As if the person is reminiscing.

Level 2 - Where would you be likely to see this lighting effect being used?This lighting would initially be shown in genres such as horror or thrillers to show off the antagonist or the protagonist.

What health and safety points did you need to remember when arranging this lighting set up? Ensure to say ‘striking’ before switching the light on as this can blind them. Also, making sure that the lights are not to close to the person so they do not get burnt.

Where are they positioned?Around the actors/actresses. Where natural light will hit it.

Level 3 - How does this lighting effect create atmosphere?This type of lighting gives of a happy and cheerful atmosphere. This is in contrast to back lighting, whereby that creates a intimidating effect.

Level 2 - Where would you be likely to see this lighting effect being used?Sitcoms, such as Friends. It will be in places that are shot in a room, such as living rooms etc.

What health and safety points did you need to remember when arranging this lighting set up? Ensuring that all lights are in a safe distance away from the people so they are not overheating and in danger of getting burnt.
