How many lights?

There would only be one light used as if one or many more would be used it would be more seen as backlighting the low key lighting as there would be many shadows.

Where are they positioned? They would positioned from one side of a character so that the other side of them would be dark and shadowee

Level 3 - How does this lighting effect create atmosphere?

This type of lighting gives an atmosphere of depression as most low key lighting is of depressing movies.

Level 2 - Where would you be likely to see this lighting effect being used?This type of lighting would initially be shown in horror or thrillers to show off the antagonist or the protagonist

What health and safety points did you need to remember when arranging this lighting set up?

Making sure that the lights are not to close to the actor so that the person is not blinded.

They would be positioned under the actor/actress pointing upwards

This type of lighting creates more of a scary atmosphere. This is because this type of lighting is used to emphasise facial features to make things look more spooky.

Level 2 - Where would you be likely to see this lighting effect being used?Most likely in a horror movie used mainly on the villain

What health and safety points did you need to remember when arranging this lighting set up?

Make sure that the light is not shining directly into their eyes so they are not blinded.

They would be positioned on top of the actor/actress shining down.

Level 3 - How does this lighting effect create atmosphere?

The effect of this type of lighting is to initially highlight features and accentuate the cheek bones

Level 2 - Where would you be likely to see this lighting effect being used?In a music video where the artist is the only one to be shown within a shot

What health and safety points did you need to remember when arranging this lighting set up?

Make sure that the actor/actress is not looking directly at the light as they could be blinded

Where are they positioned?

These lights would be positioned in various places. Mostly where real light would be

Level 3 - How does this lighting effect create atmosphere?

This type of lighting would give an atmosphere of happiness as if it were a low key lighting the atmosphere could be upsetting or a sad atmosphere.

Level 2 - Where would you be likely to see this lighting effect being used?In sitcoms. Most likely in places like the living room of a house near windows where natural light would be.

What health and safety points did you need to remember when arranging this lighting set up?

Making sure that all the lights are a safe distance away from the actor/actress so that they are not burning up
