Niche & Tools1. Before you begin, read this article and pick a niche2. Now use Audiense to identify influencers (the free trial version does not

offer this feature)• Hook up your Instagram account• Search for the relevant influencers in your niche using filters. I suggest

using something similar to the filters I have set below. You can also choose whether the profile belongs to a person or a company. Now, you can search by bio keywords and even plug-in words such as “gmail” to find influencers who do paid and cross-promotion.

Resulting ListYou now have a list of influencers in a particular niche who do promotions. There’s a simple option below this list to export these profiles into a CSV file.

Resulting listWhat about content?

• Post a picture every day.

• Conduct many tests to find the ideal posting time as it is different for every niche.

• Post the same type of photos the influencers in your niche post. Nothing else. I repeat, nothing else. If they post pictures of beautiful San Francisco, then those are the type of pictures you should post. Don’t mix it up! If they don’t post pictures of San Francisco food, then don’t post pictures of San Francisco food.

• If you want to post pictures of yourself, then you can’t entirely automate the process. You still have to take pictures. Simply look at what works for influencers in your niche and take the same pictures. Don’t deviate. They know what works best, after all, that’s part of how they got a loyal following.

• If you’re taking pictures of yourself, they need to be on the same level of quality as the influencers in your niche. No exceptions.

Getting Over the Hurdle

• To get over the hurdle of not getting your Instagram account banned, you must graudally raise the automation settings for the first month. It takes time, but the glory will be realized soon after :)

• The gradual raising of Instagram automation took me months to learn since I had to restart every time I got my account got banned. Now, I have settings that work every time.

• You may be wondering if this works for your business. Ninety percent of the time the answer is “yes.” If you sell software, you can still market your team using lifestyle pictures with quotes. There are many influencer profiles with those same pictures. You just have to ensure the quality of your photos parallel those Instagram influencer profiles.

An Entirely Automated Process from Scratch1. Grab username

-Make it easy to find and memorable. Should already be a given.

2. Add a retargeting link to your bio using ClickMeter to keep track of followers and retarget them on Facebook

3. Post three photos every day for the first four days

4. 2nd day pay Fiverr for 300 fake followers = social validation-Remove 100 fake followers for every two thousand real followers. Ensure to turn off your automation settings for the entire day when you remove fake followers.

5. On the 3rd day run Instagress on slow and only Like tags with “like4like” and “likeforlike” posts for 4 days.

6. On the 5th day add 2-3 highly relevant hashtags to the previous tages. If you’re in a yoga niche, maybe the hadshtags are #yogini #yogi. You get the idea.

7. Continue to post 1-2 photos a day

8. Once you post 20 photos remove the “like4like” and “likeforlike” hashtags. Now, change your targeting to followers of the influencers you had found in the first several slides (check out later slides for screenshots).

5. At least 2,200+ followers and 50+ pictures move the settings to fast

Statistical Significance CalculatorsEnsure to set a max likes filter between 60 - 100. This ensures you’re interacting with people who are more likely to notice your Like.

Keep your “User profile filter” at the level Medium and a “Max followers filter” at around 700. Again, this ensures the people you’re interacting with are real and will notice your engagement.

Also, set the “Media age” to 1 month. This way your automated interactions don’t look spammy and are kept on content that they have a stronger emotional tie to.

At the top, set the “Media source” to Followers. Check back to step #8 on slide 6 for more details.

Basics of InstagressAutomated commenting is powerful when used right. When used wrong, it can hurt your brand.

First rule of automated commenting is use comments that mention the entire profile, not the picture.

Here’s what we know:1. People love their Instagram profile.2. People post random pictures.

Having an automated comment of “that’s cool” on a baby picture is not cool.

So, use comments that reflect their overall love for their profile such as “awesome profile,” “nice profile,” “great photos,” and “cool photos.” You should have, at least, nine comments you interchange among. Also, ensure you don’t comment on the same users! Posting the same comment on a users profile screams spam.

Page 10: Growth Hacking: How I Automated 45K+ Follower Instagram Profiles

Basics of InstagressHere’s an example screenshot of early-stage Instagram automation. The profile is liking pictures with particular hashtags not yet followers of particular users.

You can also auto engage with photos that have tagged particular Locations if you’re doing hyper-local marketing. It’s a great feature depending on what you’re selling.

Page 11: Growth Hacking: How I Automated 45K+ Follower Instagram Profiles

Instagress AutomationPosting pictures of San Francisco? Then interact with the top influencers’ following. You can easily find these profiles using the strategies I covered in the first several slides.

If you don’t want to auto engage with particular users, then Blacklist them.

The Details1. If you’re looking to repost content without ever creating your own, then discover photos by searching hashtags on Instagram. Make a list of the most relevant hashtags and influencers, so you know where you can quickly grab photos to repost. Then outsource this process to a virtual assistant through Upwork.

2. Use this tool to download photos for reposting without leaving a watermark: https://downloadgram.com/

3. Add photos to DropBox folders labeled by month. Download the DropBox app. Now you can easiy login and logout of Instagram to post pictures by simply saving them from DropBox to your phone. Posting 5 pictures to five different accounts takes about ten minutes. Don’t worry. There’s an even easier process.

Page 13: Growth Hacking: How I Automated 45K+ Follower Instagram Profiles

More Details1. Include the description of the photo in the DropBox file name. Make sure to remove “.jpg” at the end before posting. This enables you to quickly copy and paste the description when you upload photos. Just click “Rename” in the DropBox app, then copy the description.

2. What photos do you repost? Look for photos that have quality contrast and a significant amount of likes compared to other photos the accounts have posted. On average, you should be able to collect and add a description to 30+ photos in an hour and a half.

3. Once you have 7000+ followers, use Mass Planner campaigns to auto schedule every post, so you don’t have to manually post.

Use Mass Planner Settings to 5X Your ResultsWhen you turn on Mass Planner automation settings for Commenting and Liking ensure you’re engaging with the top 5 percent of followers of the target influencers. In short, those who like and comment on their posts. They’re actively engaged and are more likely to follow you back.

So, click on Sources and then select that you want to engage with those who interacted with posts of target influencer accounts. This is the secret sauce :)

Next, plug in comments using spin syntax. These are the auto comments that Mass Planner will interchange among when dropping them on pictures.

Use Mass Planner Settings to 5X Your ResultsGet specific.

Mass Planner has many more settings than Instagress for Following, Unfollowing, Liking, and Commenting.

Take advantage of them.

Proxies

If you’re running more than three Instagram accounts, then use proxies so Instagram doesn’t catch you. I get my proxies here at http://vip.squidproxies.com. Here’s an example of a proxy set-up in Mass Planner.

Automated PostingFor Instagram reposting, purchase the Instagram Poster & Reposter module from Mass Planner.

If you’re posting every day, wait until you have seven thousand plus followers to use this feature.

You can add posts in bulk using a created campaign, and then connecting folders (Drive, DropBox, basic Windows folders) or uploading a CSV file with one column for image URLs and another for descriptions.

Picture DescriptionsPeople like worldy descriptions such as “A beautiful day no matter rain or shine because yoga replenishes your soul.” That took me two seconds to write. It doesn’t have to make sense. Most of my descriptions don’t. It just needs to sound nice.

If you repost someone’s content, then @ them in the description = “A beautiful day no matter rain or shine because yoga replenishes your soul @username”

Don’t ask for their permission to repost their content. It’s fine as long as you tag them. Trust me. You won’t get sued and ninety-nine percent of the time they don’t care.

After the wordly description, write the “benefit+ solution +CTA @[your username].” For example, “A beautiful day no matter rain or shine because yoga replenishes your soul @username. For a little more sunshine in your life, check out my [i.e. free eBook, free tickets, free PDF] in my bio @[your username].”

If you’re a noob marketer, ideally the link should go to a dedicated landing page. I’ve created a two-hundred thousand dollar sales funnels with this strategy.

Next, rinse and repeat. Depending on your stage of Instagram automation, just include these type of wordly descriptions in the uploaded CSV files for Mass Planner or DropBox file names.
