Media Distribution

• Media distributors, more specifically film distribution companies are responsible for marketing/advertising films. They also handle how the film is distributed whether it be in cinema, digital or on DVD/BluRay.

Distribution

• We decided that or film would be distributed by Paramount Pictures

• We chose Paramount because they are an American company that has distributed one of our main inspirations for our title sequence: Paranormal Activity. They have also worked a lot with Blumhouse productions which is our production company.

Paramount Distribution

Paramount has distributed horror films such as:

• Paranormal Activity franchise

• Friday the 13th franchise

Distribution

Some other studios we looked at are:• Lionsgate Films• Universal Studios• Film District

We considered these studios based on them distributing similar films to our own (eg. ‘Saw’ , ‘The Purge’ and ‘Insidious’).
