Most and nearly all of our digipak conforms to the conventions of stereotypical digipaks more specifically folk genre digipak. This is because we have maintained the correct measurements throughout all the digipak meaning it fits the generic mould of what you would expect to see from one.

Also to fit with general folk conventions of nature and being natural, we have limited the editing that has taken place on the actual photos featuring on our digipak to maintain a natural look for our artists image which most folk artists display including Gabrielle Aplin in her album English Rain, where even though they have extracted colour from the background, she as the artist hasnt been altered.

This links to another convention that we have included which is nature throughout, more noticeably in ours, forestry with an autumn appearance. This is setting and mise en scene of nature is what is also used in Gabrielle Aplins too, with the photography used being taken in open field, outdoors. This displays the aim that folk artists, like the one we have created aim to appear to be at one with nature. By featuring this throughout our digipak it enables us to clearly portray across to the consumers the folk genre of the albums music.

However there are also ways in which we have managed to develop conventions of folk digipaks. This is because, we have increased the amount of synergy between the products we have. This is because many folk artists only have subtle connections to the video and website. By developing the synergy between our products further than many other artists, it allows us to portray across to the audience a key theme in our artists music and performance. This reduces the amount of mystery which is important for an up and coming artist because people like to know exactly what they are going to get if they are going to see an unknown artist. We have developed what is shown in Ellie Gouldings Lights DigiPak, as the subtle link she used, is the blurred dots of light which feature in her music videos from that album. This compares to ours which features the exact same locations and outfits which feature in the music video.

Also we have once again subverted conventions in our digipak, where like before causing more synergy, continued with the use of brighter colours with the pink, blue and purple particularly featuring in the digipak with our borders and text used. This contrasts with folk genre digipaks, as they tend to once again stick to more natural, paler colours or limit the amount of colour used throughout like shown in Gabrielle Aplins once again.
