Combine the secondary colours to its neighbouring primary colour,
you’ll get a tertiary colour.

THE SIX TERTIARY COLOURS
AchromaticAchromatic uses black, white and grey.
Monochromatic
Monochromatic uses a single colour with
various values and intensities. Black and white can be used here
to add various tints and shades.
Analogous
Analogous uses colours adjacent in the colour wheel. Any 3 neighbouring colours are analogous. The colours vary slightly from each other & are harmonious.
Complementary
Complementary uses colours located opposite each other on the colour wheel like red & green, yellow & purple, orange & blue.
Triadic
Triadic uses 3 colours from the colour wheel equally spaced from the other. These used together are considered triadic. Orange, green and violet are triadic colours.
Colour Theories – Creating Harmony
In making your designs, you always want it to look pleasing. So we have to consider colour harmony. In doing that, we merely have to know three theories. • 2 Colours Opposite of Each other on
the Colour Wheel are harmonious.• Any 3 Colours Equally Spaced Around
the Colour Wheel Forming a Triangle are harmonious
• Any 4 Colours Forming a Rectangle, Each Opposite of Each other on the Colour
