…hope lives on, in all of us. Hope that one day we can speak of cancer,

as a disease of the past…

Finding Jack

This is my plea…….(my first, for this year’s ‘Relay For Life’ fundraising endeavour)

Finding JackI am often asked, “Why ‘Finding Jack’?”

As part of our Relay for Life commitment, we are required to come up with a team name and theme. Last year, we decided on a ‘Finding Nemo’ theme, but modified it to make it more

personally relevant. Jack, my beautiful father, passed away on April 7th 2012. As a family, we have been committed to raising

money for much needed Cancer research funds. So while ‘Finding Jack’ is a twist on the Nemo theme, it is also a

reminder that Finding a cure for Cancer is our ultimate goal. If we can do our bit to save someone else the heartache of losing a loved one too young, then we have done our Dad

proud.

So……that having been said, I now have the task of asking people to dig deep. Please do not feel obliged to participate, but graciously share this

post and wish us all the best. We do this in honour of my Dad, Jack Broadhurst and in support of my beautiful cousin, Jill. Jill shows us the true strength of a fighter….YOU GOT THIS BABE!!!

Let your donation tell your story…… be it in memory of a loved one,in support of someone fighting Cancer, in celebration of a survivor, or simply because you want to do your bit to

KICK CANCER’S BUTT!!!!In advance…..Thank You!

And, as Dad would say, Love you 40-leven

As most of you are aware, I left my team high and dry this year by moving to Hedland. We are therefore, relying heavily on our popular

‘Footy Margin’ competition to raise required funds. We have made a couple of slight changes to try to encourage people to

take advantage of our 10 week game play.
