Our self worth is tied to our
accomplishments

Procrastination can happen because we fear failure
Even Thomas Edison failed 1000 times before he
invented the light bulb
Take these steps to
overcome procrastinatio
n:
Step 1 Analyze why you procrastinate
(a fear of failure? A sense of dread? An action that will
expose something unpleasant?)
Step 2 Tell yourself it’s okay to be human. Don’t be a
perfectionist. No one likes to hang out with perfectionists!
Step 3 Break larger steps down into many smaller steps
Step 4 Pair something unpleasant with something fun
Step 5 Accept the thing that you do not like that is keeping you
from being productive
Accepting does not mean liking. Accepting means you
are honest about it and choose to address it in
yourself
Step 6 Create default options – things you know will happen if you
take no action
