Write Everything DownIt’s okay to admit that you’ll forget things. Write down: phone numbers, movie titles, restaurants. Write down everything and
anything you’ll probably forget.
File, Don’t PilePut everything in its rightful place. Avoid the
slow creation of a junk drawer. File your mail, bills, and letters. Make it easier on
yourself to find things later.
SimplifyThis can start anytime and it starts with learning
how to say, “No”. Limit your to do list, avoid purchasing something just because it’s a
bargain, & keep your counters clear. There are many ways to simplify life.
Keep A CalendarFamily, work, friends. The list can go on forever and so can the number of occasions and commitments. Don’t rely on yourself to remember every date and time, just
put it in your calendar. If you have a large family, download a family calendar app everyone can add to.
Purge & De-ClutterDonate old clothes, scan important docs into your computer and shred old copies, have a garage sale. Get rid of unused or unwanted
items often!
Don’t Apologize For Sticking To A Schedule
Sticking to your schedule allows you to eventually have time for you. So, don’t
apologize for getting what needs to be done, done.
Embrace ChangeChange is inevitable. Rather than letting
anxiety build when a wrench is thrown into your schedule, adapt. Adjust your “what’s most important list” and move on with your day.
