Introducing the strategy

Teacher introduces the role playto the students, and explains howto conduct and organise arole-play. Instruct them toobserve keenly while presentingthe content.

Presentation of the topic

Teacher presents the topic in theform of a monoact.

The young student : I am astudent, a young student, and ama lover too. I am so sad, becauseshe said that she would dancewith me if I brought her red rose.

Young student : ( crying) no redrose in all my garden.

Ah…. On what little things doeshappiness depend. I have read all

that the wise men have written.And all the secrets of philosophyare mine, yet for want of a redrose is my life made wretched.

Setting up group

Teacher classifies all thestudents into three groups andassigns responsibilities of eachgroup. First group should readthe portion loudly. Second oneshould present a role play here.And third group should askquestions to the other groups.

Reading

Teacher invites the group leaderof the first group to read theportion loudly.

Role play

Teacher provides adequate timefor preparation. After thatteacher invites them to presentthe roleplay.

Questioning

The third group asks thequestions to the students of

other groups from the portion.

Conclusion

teacher invites one of thestudents from the third group forpresemting the brief summary ofthe portion.

Assignment : prepare your opinion about the statementthat “on what little things does happiness depend “.
