The Internet is a network of interconnected computers exchanging data

What do we know

about Data?

Seems like we are slowly and steadily working our way towards wisdom.

Page 15: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

But first, a very basic question; Is the quality of information really such a big deal?

Umm.. Yup! Guess it is!

Page 16: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

We know how to do awesome and epic web design. Check.

We know how to do easy to use click-to-call and call-to-action buttons. Check.

We have a ton of customer service, support-team, chat, and loads of other widgets. Check.

But..

One widget seems to be missing..

Where is the Crowd Wisdom widget?

Page 17: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

With a Crowd Wisdom Widget we could accomplish amazing things!

Page 18: Crowdsourcing Wisdom
Page 19: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

All web pages, e-stores, businesses, governmental insitutions, non-profits, all of them, all plans and all business- investment- ”all” decisions could benefit from Crowd Wisdom

So..

Where IS the Crowd Wisdom widget?

Page 20: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Maybe we don´t have a Crowd Wisdom widget because when everyone is speaking at the same time, it becomes too

complicated?

Page 21: Crowdsourcing Wisdom
Page 23: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

How many Jellybeans are there in the jar?

When asked, some give estimates that are waaay to big, some give estimates that are waaay to small. BUT! If enough of people are asked, all the answers multiplied and divided by the number of answers

Incredibly!that leads to the..

Page 24: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Could we take the Jellybeans example and apply it to a crowd so that we get Wisdom as the end product?

Things that you can do with a simple

Drag & Drop GridHumans process visual representations really fast!

Grab one, and slide it in the place that it belongs to in your mind.

And..

We get numerical values for complex information analysis

concept design

Page 28: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Example:

Place all the teams from the FIFA World Cup in the grid.

Ask a few thousand experts to arrange the grid.

What do we get?

We get the beans in the jar effect!

We get Crowd Wisdom!

Page 30: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Give enough experts the same scrambeled grid, and ask them to organize it without the help of anybody else.

We get objective numerical valuesWith enough expert answers, we actually DO get a Crowd Wisdom widget.

And..

We CAN calculate (multiple) answers

concept design

Page 31: Crowdsourcing Wisdom
Page 32: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

We can actually process really complex information, like what impact does Uber and Zipcar have on urban planning by 2020?

If the grid needs imput, just make oneAnd the next expert is presented with the grid that has your input in there as well.

Page 33: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

There can be an unlimited number of adds, because very soon the Big Fish start to emerge.

Page 34: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Democracy = one vote, Free Markets = one purchase BUT Crowd Wisdom = numerical values for the entire grid.

A Great American President?

(Arrange the grid, please.)

Page 35: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

AND, we can ask WHY !This allows emergence from complex systems in an entirely new way.

Why is he a Great American President?

Page 36: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Emergence from complex systems, means that the whole is actually more then the sum of its individual parts.

Page 37: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

For really cool information processing, change the initial question.

How..Why..When..With the help of..Combine this with..Investments from..Who would be interested to help..To achieve perfection..

And again go to the next Meta-level, by using the very same Drag-and-Drop Grid.

Ask;

Which ARE the important questions (and why)

Page 38: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

With Crowd Wisdom (and the emergance from that complex system) we are able to combine and analyze things that were impossible to combine and analyze before. We can produce products and services, experiences of products and services, that were impossible to produce before. We can find out about teams and team collaborations and co-operations in ways that were impossible before. In short, we can invest time, money or effort to get results and returns unimaginable before.

Page 39: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

1. Drag & Drop Grid. Check.2. Add your own content. Check.3. Re-evalute and/ or change the original question. Check.4. Add question. Check.5. Add personal profile. Check.

6.Categorize topics within that personal profile.. Check.

Page 40: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Add Timeline, thenadd a growing expertise Timeline by categorizied topics in the personal profile.

Page 41: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Add Paradigm Shift(s) within personal catgorized topics.

Page 42: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

There you have it, a worlds first concept design of a Crowd Wisdom widget.

Page 43: Crowdsourcing Wisdom
Page 45: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

How BIG can a simple Drag-&-Drop Crowd Wisdom widget eventually become?

Page 46: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

Can Google be better?Crawling through web pages can not produce the right information at the right place at the right time.Crowd Wisdom as a system base, Can!

Page 47: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

To get the right information to the right person at the right time and at the right place?= We must have the information (it can´t be shared if there isn´t any content) Check.= We must have profiles (it´s just scrambeled noise without profiles) Check.= We must have a Categorized Timeline. Check.= AND we must have the emergance of a complex information analysis. Check.

Crowd Wisdom CAN be used to make Google better

Page 48: Crowdsourcing Wisdom
Page 49: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

There is a concept that when computers are fast enough, and enough computers are online, a singularity (an AI) will emerge.

WHY?

All the grains of sand in all the beaches of the world, why would they form in to a pyramid, by themselves?

Page 50: Crowdsourcing Wisdom

But! Adding multiple personal profiles and timelines, you get something amazing = by a simulation (or emergance) of intelligence that surpasses all the individual parts, is the same as simulating intelligence. A successfull simulation of intelligence IS intelligence.

In short, the Crowd Wisdom widget can be used by Google to create a converstation automaton with emergant intelligence A.K.A. AI
