I’m tired of only my family and friends reading my blog.

I thought you might appreciate this short video below.

I shot this video the other day at a company event at the Lake Las Vegas Resort!

The biggest Take away I got from here is:

If you want your blog to be successful, you have to reach out at the beginning with your headlineand introduction and catch their attention.

You need to catch their attention right off the bat or they’ll just click off your page and not read anythingelse.

You really gotta do a good job of catching their attention right away and pull them in to make a connection, so that they want to know more about you and they want to know more about what you’re talking about .

Five simple tips to writing an attention getting introduction:

1. Start with a question- great way to get there attention right away.

2. Make sure you get a hook in there – give personal story about yourself so they know what yourpassionate about, and that you are really open about something that happened to you.

3. Use you and I a lot – this is what happened to me, so you can also have success and you canovercome your problems too.

4. Length – 2 and 4 paragraphs with each paragraph 2 – 6 lines

5. Good Transition – At the end of the introduction make a nice transition into the body of the blog.

Remember that when you’re writing a blog spend a good amount of time on your introduction so thatwhen people look at it they will want to stay longer and they will want to read more.

If they don’t like that introduction they don’t want to stay you’re going to lose them right away.

So make sure you do a really good job catching their attention so they will want to stay and read the rest ofyour blog.

Catch their attention with your word so you don’t have to resort to this.

As Neil Patel from QuickSprout has said “Spend as much time on your headline and intro and you do therest of your blog”. They are that important.
