heat and energy• Foods rich in

carbohydrate and fats, starches and sugars

These are found in:

• Sugar is in sweets, pastries and cakes

• Starches in corn, rice, potatoes, pasta and bread

• Fats and oil are found in butter nuts and seeds.

What is Eating Disorder?

• An obsession with food and weight that may harms a person’s well-being.

• People with eating disorders go to extreme to keep from gaining weight.

ANOREXIA

• Being obsessed with being thin.• They don’t want to eat, and are afraid of gaining weight.

BULIMIA

• Eating a lot of food at once and then throwing up or using laxatives to remove the food from the body.

• They also use diet pills to control their weight.

Causes of Eating Disorder

• Unnatural concern about the body weight

• Obsession with calories, fat grams and food

• Use of any medicines to keep from gaining weight (diet pills)

• Feeling stressed out or upset about something in life

• Feeling like he/she needs to be “in-control”
