 Institute of Healthcare Policy and Practice  

The Institute of Healthcare Policy and Practice (HPP) and the affiliated Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy and Practice (ASCPP) encompasses five research groupings:-

 • Acute and Deteriorating Patient• Dementia and Later Life • Healthcare Acquired Infections • Learning for practice• Maternal, child and family health

Practice Collaborative

Develop confidence and competence in research.

Actively engage in meaningful, real world research.

Alzheimer Scotland Nurse Consultant/Specialist Programme – one per Scottish health board

The Practice Collaborative aims to build and expand the evidence base for dementia practice in line with strategic priorities in Scotland.

Collaborative members work co-operatively to develop practice, engage in research, establish projects, and co-ordinate events.
