Enroll America Ohio worked with an organization called MCS-TOUCH. MCS TOUCH reached out to Enroll Ohio to ask if we would be willing to provide enrollment assistance during orientations once a month for the new job training program they were starting.

During the first orientation, 12 folks applied for Medicaid. Enroll Ohio later hosted several enrollment assistance sessions for all of the inmates who weren't participating in the MCS TOUCH program.

Subsequently, through the probation officer, Enroll Ohio was given referrals of folks who were going on probation and uninsured. Enroll Ohio attended more than 15 fairs in the last two years, resulting in those commit cards being collected.

Outcome:Enrolled 37 incarcerated individuals into Medicaid between December '15 - February '16Collected 926 follow up cards (as a state) between June 2014-Sept 2015 through reentry fairs at federal prisons.
