Throughout South Texas, BOTAM provides its volunteer base the opportunity to serve the indigent and others who are struggling to provide loved ones with wheelchair accessible ramps and wheelchairs. If CWAM awards part of the Super Service Challenge prize money to Barn of the Angels Ministries, our selfless teams of volunteers will be able to continue to serve families in need throughout South Texas through its Rosary Ramp Ministry. BOTAM provides its services at no charge and is able to respond immediately to their needs. Those served can then turn their attention towards recovery and addressing other items of priority in their lives.

BOTAM volunteers willingly come to the aid of those in need, such as Mr. Benito Castillio who has terminal cancer, no insurance, and lives day to day on Social Security income only.

While serving our neighbors, we find their gratitude and willingness to receive as a well-spring of love that we would have otherwise not experienced.

Everyone receives something of value in a time of corporal charity, even if it’s not physically valuable to our volunteers.

In 2013, our teams of volunteers have willingly given over 1,000 hours to those in need. We have installed some 20 ramps of all sizes and have given 3 power wheelchairs. Our estimated annual gifting is in excess of $25,000 for ramp materials and power wheelchairs alone. Again, our entire gifting of time, talent, and treasure is exactly that, a gift, to those whom we are called to serve.

The purpose of Rosary Ramp Ministry is to provide necessary materials and labor to install ramps for those suffering from physical disabilities or impairment which has affected their mobility.

Our services are 100% free of charge and our ramps are lovingly built by rotating teams of volunteers; serving as Christ instructed. Our ramps allow freedom and independence so those in need can continue their daily lives.

If awarded part of the Super Service Challenge prize money BOTAM will:† Provide additional wheelchair ramps and wheelchairs to those in need.† Give us, BOTAM’s volunteers, the added opportunity to demonstrate charitable acts of mercy with their selfless contributions of time and talent.

In times when our neighbors are struggling, the call to bring the light of Christ to them and show that they are loved is a blessings to all. It is our prayer that BOTAM and CWAM can lift the spirits of our neighbors in need and provide them peace and comfort in their time of need.
