The results from the survey had the following implications:

1. There are Business and Computer Science programs offered in our district that our seventh grade

students have not been made aware of. All middle school students will be informed of the

Business and Computer Science pathways that are offered in the district and the feeder high

schools through Career Development courses or Advisement in all seven middle schools. The

CTAE Department will provide copies of the Career Connections (Pathway) booklets and other

promotional materials to the middle schools.

2. Our district's middle school students have basic knowledge of internet usage and utilization of

Microsoft Office products. Each middle school Business and Computer Science lab will be

upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007. CTAE administrators will work with the middle school

counselors to provide opportunities for all students to take at least one Business and Computer

Science class while in middle school.
