What is Gingivitis?

Gingivitis — an inflammation of the gums — is the initial stage of gum disease and the easiest to treat.



1) Gingivitis is a form of periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease is an inflammation and infection that destroys the tissue around your teeth, including the gums, the periodontal ligaments and the tooth sockets (alveolar bone).
