A dental implant is a synthetic tooth root anchored to the jawbone, which serves as a

foundation for an artificial tooth. Dental implants provide an alternative to bridges and

dentures in replacing missing teeth. When compared to dentures or bridges, there are many benefits of dental implants, including improved appearance and speech ability,

comfort, durability, and convenience.

Not everyone is a candidate for dental implants. Patients must possess proper bone density and be able to undergo oral surgery.

In addition, patients who receive dental implants must be fully committed to good oral

hygiene and regular dental check-ups to ensure the long-term success of the tooth implant. Each case should be evaluated

individually by a dental professional.
