What is Autism?

Some people on the spectrum have difficulties in the following areas:

1. Social interaction: difficulty establishing relationships, not reciprocating socially

or emotionally or appearing indifferent.

2. Social communication:

difficulty with verbal and non-verbal communication, including facial expressions and tone of voice.

3. Social imagination:

difficulty with flexibility of thought, affecting sequencing, organising, planning ahead and thinking in abstract ways.
