Overview about lung cancer spreads other parts of the body
http://lungcancersymptomsx.com/
Lung cancer
• Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells that start off in one or both lungs; usually in the cells that line the air passages.
• The abnormal cells do not develop into healthy lung tissue, they divide rapidly and form tumors.
• The stage of lung cancer refers to the extent to which the cancer has spread in the body.

Lung cancer spread
• Lung cancers can spread when cells break off from the tumor, and travel through the bloodstream or the lymphatic's to distant regions of the body and grow.
• One of the most important thing is to distinguish the lung cancer between primary and secondary.
• The lung cancer spreads to bone, brains, liver, lymph nodes, adrenal glands and other parts of the body.
• Other than spread to lymph nodes which can include earlier stages of the disease, lung cancer that has spread to distant regions of the body is classified as stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer or extensive stage small cell lung cancer.
• A primary lung cancer that spreads to bone is referred to as lung cancer metastatic to bone, not bone cancer.
• The lung cancer that spreads to the brain(http://lungcancersymptomsx.com/when-lung-cancer-spreads-to-the-brain.html) is termed lung cancer metastatic to the brain rather than brain cancer.
• Likewise each cancer is named when it is continue d to grow and divide to other parts of the body.
Lung cancer spreads to other areas
• The lung cancer spreads other regions and affect those parts severely.
• Lung cancer has on occasion spread to the stomach, small and large intestines, the pancreas, the eye, the skin, the kidney, and even the breast.

Survival with lung cancer
• The median survival, that is the amount of time after which half of people are still alive and the other half have passed away, is 8 months.
• Average survival is 6 to 12 months with treatment, but only 2 to 4 months without treatment.
• There are people who have survived and done well for many years even after a diagnosis of lung cancer that has spread.
It all depend on their type, treatment and spread of lung cancer in the body.
Major Symptoms
• Pain is usually the first symptom of lung cancer with bone metastases.
• The pain may initially feel like a muscle pull or strain, but gradually worsens and can become severe.
• When bone metastases involve the arms and legs, pain is often worse with movement.
• Pain due to the spread of lung cancer to the spine is often worse at night and after resting in bed.
Treatments
• Treatment of lung cancer can involve a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy as well as newer experimental methods.
• These treatments(http://lungcancersymptomsx.com/treatments-for-lung-carcinoid-tumor.html) will help the patients to remove the cancer cells.
• It is important to note that a patient’s age has never been useful in predicting whether a patient will benefit from treatment.
