Better Diagnosis of Atrial Flutter & Atrial Fibrillation in NayaMed Pacemakers.

Among patients with a pacemaker, the risk of

thromboembolism may be greater given that the incidence

of arrhythmia is higher in this population. A pacemaker

follow-up, therefore, is a good opportunity to use

diagnostics to identify new atrial �brillation or atrial �utter.

NayaMed pacemakers have atrial diagnostic data with atrial

EGMs to help diagnose atrial tachyarrhythmias. Atrial high rate

episodes can be found by selecting 'Data' and choosing 'High

Rate Episodes.'

While interpreting this atrial diagnostic data, keep in mind that

stored episodes > 250 complexes per minute and > 5 minutes

in duration have been reported as having a high correlation

with atrial �utter and atrial �brillation.
