MFV TRANSFORMING LIVES Baban Murlidhar Bhalke, lives in a village, Rajapur, Nashik, around twenty - five kilometers from Yeola Tehsil. He is a farmer. Rajapur receives scarce rainfall; hence farmers depend on seasonal farming for their sustenance. It is a harsh environment to live in. Baban and his wife stay alone since all their children are married. The twist of life for Baban took a nasty turn when his vision started deteriorating rapidly. He was incapable of working thus his wife took up the burden of keeping them alive by working in the farm. They lived lonesome lives, filled with gloom and despair with no solution in sight, resigned to their fate. Light appeared on their darkened horizon. They heard about an eye camp held by Tulsi Eye Hospital in their district. They visited the camp and Baban had his vision ailments diagnosed. His eyes suffered from cataract and corneal opacity. He underwent surgery under the vigilant care provided by the doctors of Tulsi Eye Hospital. The operation was successful and Baban came through rejuvenated and filled with optimism. In their tough lives, this was a welcome break they received.
