MFV TRANSFORMING LIVES Suresh Babu Towards A Bright Future Suresh Babu, a 17 years old boy old from N.N. Kandigai village in Andhra Pradesh lost his father when he was just 10 years old. His mother, a daily wage earner, was the sole bread winner in the house. Suresh’s mother’s problems further got aggravated when her young son started complaining about his vision which was gradually deteriorating Eye problem. His vision was gradually deteriorating. Suresh had to rely on his classmates to understand what was written on the black board. After a while his friends stopped helping him and started making fun of him. Eventually Suresh stopped going to school completely. The School headmaster was worried about the young boy’s future. He took interest and approached a volunteer who was organizing an Eye outreach camp near their village. At the outreach camp Suresh was examined and diagnosed with cataract in both Eyes. He was taken to the nearest MFV vision partner hospital for cataract surgery. After getting his vision back Suresh exclaimed, “Now that I can see, study and play, I will help my mother also!” There was a tremendous change in attitude among his peers and teachers after the surgery.
