On the auspicious occasion of
Rev Sadhu T.L. Vaswani’s
141st Birth Anniversary,
we at SVISG, embarked on a
mission to restore the world
and give it new life and energy.
Blessed with the eternal
protection of our beloved Dada,
we committed ourselves to
lend a healing touch to our
ailing Mother Earth. A promise of a new and better
tomorrow awaits us as
compassionate global leaders
are being nourished in the sanctum
sanctorum of truth, kindness and
selfless service that SVISG strives to
become everyday. The month-long
activities to produce forth
future-ready citizens have been
designed keeping in mind the
divine dictum- action is the key to
compassion.

COMPASSION- TRANSFORMING LIVES
WILFLIFE CONSERVATION MSSION ANIMALS EARTH FOR ALL
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING SUSTAINING THE KNOWLEDGE
Perceived as voiceless, animals are often on the
receiving end of human induced cruelty.
Commiserating with the agony of their silent
friends, the young leaders of SVISG resolved to
capture the anxiety, apprehensions, trials and
tribulations of animals and lent the voiceless,
‘voice’ through activities which were designed
keeping in mind the 21st century life skills.
The young citizens must be given a sense of
responsibility towards the world they belong to,
for the heart needs to be educated first even before
the mind is trained; otherwise the purpose of
education remains unaccomplished. Aligning our
attitude to Dadaji’s philosophy, values of peace
and compassion were subtly blended with the
school curriculum to deliver the world, not only
future-ready but spiritually awakened citizens.
Each activity was carefully crafted, so that the
education of the heart supplemented the training of
the mind and imparted our young leaders the
strength to shoulder the responsibility of their
society. These transformational experiences of
practical learning improved their emotional and
cognitive forces, thus binding them to the reality
of the present situation and at the same time,
lending the right knowledge and training to create
a better world for themselves.
REV. SADHU T. L. VASWANI’S 141ST BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
To honour the memory of Rev. Sadhu T.L.
Vaswani, a true trailblazer inspiring generation of
compassionate global citizens, our young leaders
were given an opportunity to publish Digital
Newspapers and Newsletters, which are
recognized as an important instrument of
transformation in the contemporary world.
The digital newspapers involved writing,
researching and curating articles and stories from
animals’ standpoint and ultimately, through these
newspapers, advocating vegetarianism and
encouraging a world of peaceful co-existence of
all living species on this planet.
As a part of this month-long celebration, the
students of the Primary School imprinted our heart
with colours of love and designed pamphlets on
the theme ‘Cultivating Compassion’. The young
learners displayed their artistic skills through an
impressive display of pamphlets that proliferated
the message of universal love towards the animal
world and promoted vegetarianism as the healthier
diet preference.
As part of the ongoing celebrations, a Power
Point Presentation on the topic, "Wildlife-Integral
part of Country's Culture and Nation" was
shown to the students of Primary Wing, followed
by a collage-making activity on the topic,
"Conservation of Wildlife". These activities
enhanced the understanding of our future leaders,
of the urgent need to coexist harmoniously in
nature.
The Senior girls participated in LOGO
DESIGNING activity, depicting Compassion and
Love for Animals and Conservation of Wildlife, on
a virtual platform. The event witnessed enthusiastic
participation, which was followed by a lively
presentation on "Wildlife- An integral part of
country's culture and nation." Students were
adequately motivated to pledge their commitment
to the noble cause of ensuring a cruelty free world
on 25th November, by strictly following a plant-
based diet.
Bodies supplemented with positive nourishment
encase a healthier spiritual, mental and emotional
existence. Thus, armed with the integral
knowledge of time-tested wisdom, our learners
were ready to blend the technical and the spiritual.
To help them in their goal of winning every heart
with love, Tangram Tales, Analysis and
Mathematical Storyboard activities were
organized.
The activity started with a thorough discussion
on the message and the need for vegetarianism
advocated by Rev. Sadhu Vaswani. This was
followed by a brainstorming session which
involved understanding and hypothesizing the
impact of environmental degradation faced by the
animal kingdom at the hands of humans.
It was gratifying to watch these young minds
creating and displaying their ideas and endorsing
the indispensable quality of humanity that
embodies a tangible expression of love for those
who are suffering.
REV. SADHU T. L. VASWANI’S 141ST BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
ART INTEGRATED LEARNING
ENCOURAGING UNIQUENESS “Love and compassion are necessities of life. They are not
luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive”. Who doesn't agree
that compassion is more than just an emotion? Yes, compassion is
not an occasional act, it is a permanent attitude, it is a way of life.
Celebrating Rev. Sadhu T.L. Vaswani’s 141st birthday, whose
teachings have shaped the ideals for the need of compassion, a TED
Talk was organized.
An Online Pottery Session was coordinated for the students
of Sankalp to promote creativity and versatility. Also, the
therapeutic benefits of clay modelling cannot be undermined in
unsettling times such as this and can be a favourable learning
engagement tool to aid mental health and well-being.
Students vividly depicted the
importance of compassion, how
it transforms us as a human
being, the way it vanquishes
indifference, intolerance and
injustice and is able to replace
judgment with acceptance.
The children of today are the builders of a
brave, new world- a world without want.
- Dada Vaswani
The Digital Poster
Making Activity evoked
a spirited response in the
students as creative
ingenuity and unalloyed
love decorated the lovely
designs dedicated to
Dadaji.
In light of the ongoing global crisis, various discussions were held
online and students vowed to inculcate the values of compassion and
empathy in their lives. Their videos were also displayed in other
classes, so as to encourage all to ingrain compassion as a vital
component. It was heartening to see not only the collaborative efforts
of the students, in making their Ted Talks but also the response of the
audience via the virtual mode which was equally exciting. The
speakers were really encouraged by the positive feedback they
received and looked forward for more such opportunities in the
future.
Animals are a wonderful part of our lives who bring joy to the
heart and give us unconditional love. As custodians of our
planet, it is our responsibility to treat all species with Kindness,
Love and Compassion. To propagate this message, a Poster
Making Competition was conducted for classes III – VIII on a
virtual platform, on the Topic -"ANIMALS RIGHTS”. The
students wholeheartedly participated and expressed
their thoughts through their creative skills, highlighting the
values of Love and Compassion towards animals and
propagated the necessity of ‘Saying No to Cruelty’.

LEARNING FOR
THE FUTURE EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE
DEVELOPMENT
School gardens and garden-
based education have the
potential to shape the values of
children. The initiative of
teaching organic farming to the
students of Sankalp- ‘Eat
Clean, Go Green’, on the
occasion of Meatless Day was a
purpose of noble resolve, born
of determination.
The invaluable lesson of
sustainable living,
environmental respect, and
interest in outdoor activities, for
all the enthusiastic students
involved was a path breaking
idea to invest in our future.
The ethos of education
requires the students to
nourish not only their mind
but their spirit, with
kindness.
The members of Eco Club
and Karuna Club participated
in Plantation Drive at their
homes and learnt the correct
method of growing various
kitchen garden plants, like
brinjal, ginger, coriander,
lemon etc., as a commitment
to plant hopes for a future
which will cultivate nothing
but joy for all alike.

EDUCATING FOR
HUMAN GREATNESS SOWING SEEDS OF KINDNESS
Keeping up with the spirit of the Meatless Day and celebrating the teachings and values of Rev. Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, the students of Pre– School and Pre – Primary took part in various art and craft activities, outlined to help them absorb the kernel of humanity- ‘compassion’. To have students use their imagination to create artwork; to demonstrate motor skills by coloring, cutting, and assembling an animal mask; to show how wearing a mask can enable empathy building exercise; and to evoke in young children, a sense appreciation and love for all creations alike were some of the objectives of Mask Making Activity that was designed for the learners of Pre- School and Pre Primary.
In continuation with the birthday celebrations of our Revered Founder, Sadhu T.L Vaswani, a Virtual Puppet Show was organized for the learners of Pre-Primary. The story was intrinsically woven around the theme of the month, “Animals and Birds”. Puppet shows help with learning and development. Learning through playing is fundamental to the education of our children, helping them to develop many necessary skills, like creativity, imagination etc. Students were seen enjoying the puppet show held online.
Nature Walk is an excellent way to stimulate a child’s appreciation for the natural world. They get an experience of a free-flowing environment that enhances all their senses, thus improving their emotional, intellectual, physical and social state. Dadaji believed that “Not to love birds and animals would be not to love God”. Thus, Virtual Nature Walk formed one of the important activities in the birthday celebrations of our Revered Founder, Sadhu T.L Vaswani, accompanied by an aim to inculcate in children, empathy towards all forms of life.
REV. SADHU T. L. VASWANI’S 141ST BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS
“NOTHING WILL BENEFIT HUMAN HEALTH AND
INCREASE THE CHANCES FOR SURVIVAL OF LIFE ON
EARTH AS MUCH AS THE EVOLUTION TO A
VEGETARIAN DIET.”
- ALBERT EINSTEIN
To proliferate the message of universal love
towards the animal world and promote
vegetarianism as the healthier diet
preference, “Virtual Inter- House
Vegetarian Appetizers Towards
Developing Immunity" was organized as an
attempt to allow the learners to explore the
wonderful world of vegetarian food. Children
portrayed their creativity through the
language of food and promoted an important
message of vegetarianism. The delectable
and colourful platters presented by the
young chefs attested that the endeavour was
a successful one.
Our health is directly shaped by our diet.
The mind and soul are fed by the body. So,
it is very crucial to supplement our bodies
with positive nourishment, which is
transferred to our physical, emotional and
spiritual constitution. Acknowledging the
notable health benefits of vegetarian diet
and with an intention to spread the
knowledge amongst our learners, the
school initiated a Virtual Workshop on “Be
Vegetarian, Be Healthy” by Ms. Anjali
Ahuja. She advocated the advantages of a
plant-based diet and her words were
joyfully received by the young audience.

THE HEART”
Students who recognized and appreciated the rights of the animals added a leaf to the Pledge Tree and attested their unwavering dedication to promote vegetarianism on 25 November.
Meatless Day Pledge Forms were distributed, which were filled by ardent students, teachers and parents, avowing their allegiance to the cause of making the world a better place by shielding ‘man’s best friend’ from human-induced suffering and securing their right to live without fear. 3 Lakh pledges were collected this year.
The students of SVISG were given a platform where they could meditate, introspect and express themselves with the help of thought sharing and movie sessions on ‘Compassion is Passion with Heart’. It was a small yet noble attempt on the part of the school to help children unlock the treasure of love.

-THE CHARISMATIC VISIONARIES-

The esteemed Working
Chairperson of the School
Management Committee,
Mr. Vijay Thadani brought to life,
one of the most important
messages of Gurudev Sadhu T.L.
Vaswani- ‘Oneness to everyone
and everything’. Sir Thadani
reiterated a supreme lesson of
human life, which is, in order to
exist as a whole human being,
we must perceive the Universe
as a whole. He defended its
relevance in the current scenario
of the unprecedented global
crisis by deriving an analogy
between the harmonious
working of the Universe and the
collaborative nature of online
learning. Sir Thadani’s words
helped the audience discover
the underlying theme of
interdependence in the cosmos
and the need to revere each of
its aspects.
The most admired School
Manager, Mrs. Malini Mathrani
greeted everyone with her warm
wishes.
Ma’am, with her graceful
presence and the distinctive
energy filled our hearts with
renewed vigour and helped us to
become better versions of
ourselves. She also helped us
recollect the words of the Former
President of India, Dr. Rajendra
Prasad, when he said that the life
of Sadhu Vaswani has been a
saga of unassuming service,
spiritual illumination and a
source of inspiration to all.
Ma’am reminded everyone of
the four assets which will
ultimately determine our fruits of
labour in unprecedented times-
the ability to love, being
compassionate, the ability to be
courageous and to be able to
possess an unflinching faith in
the power of prayer.
On behalf of SVISG family,
School Principal Ms. Santosh
Vyas extended a warm welcome
to the magnanimous School
Management Committee, whose
style has always been to lead by
example, illustrious guests and
our valued parents.
She reminded the audience
that great souls must be praised
every moment for making our
existence on Earth meaningful.
Ms Vyas also asserted that the
undeniable aura of love shelters
each one of us, who has been a
part of this noble institution and
maintained that he month-long
celebrations were a humble yet
earnest effort on our part to
dedicate to the world a
generation of compassionate
global citizens, possessing a
kind heart, virtuous character
and the expertise to lead the
world from the front.
REV. SADHU T. L. VASWANI’S 141ST BIRTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
What better way to celebrate a divine day than to immerse
ourselves in the celestial beauty of Rev. Dada J.P. Vaswani's words,
giving us all a glimpse of the devout life of Gurudev Sadhu T. L.
Vaswani, a Saint of the 21st century, who has redeemed humanity
with his benediction and dedication.
The mellifluous rendition of the song, “LOVE ANIMALS”
prepared by our young students reminded everyone that
compassion for animals is intimately connected with the goodness
of character.
Ashleen, a student of class IV shared a few words on ‘The
Essence of Compassion’ and created an uplifting experience that
had us all inspired.
Dancers are the messengers of God. To drive home God’s
message of loving all His creations, the young dancers of our
school put together an enthralling performance.
We sought to unleash the compassion within as we prepared
ourselves to let the inspirational words of Aditya Sajeev of class X
and a self-composed poem by Mishelle Mahesh Kapoor of class X
guide us to achieve greatness.
The month-long report was read out by the School Head Girl,
Rishika Manav.
Students of Class XI, who have shown exemplary performance
in the year 2019-20 and the winners of the prestigious Mahindra
Scholarship, were appreciated for their persistent efforts, in the
virtual award ceremony.
The world’s greatest mystics have time and again reiterated the
importance of selfless action. On the auspicious occasion of Sadhu
T.L. Vaswani’s Birth Anniversary, the School, with the most heartfelt
desire to serve the society, performed Sewa and gifted woollen
shawls to our hard-working support staff. Social distancing was
ensured during the programme.
Although conducted on a virtual platform, the much-awaited
cake cutting ceremony did not fail to raise the spirits and before
long, everyone joined in wishing Revered Gurudev. Sounds, words
and tunes blended together in a beautiful symphony, taking the
shape of the world Gurudev had wanted for us- a world without
violence, a world without hate, a world without fear, a world
without greed. The event came to an end as the Meatless Day
Coordinator of the school, Ms. Anjali Ahuja delivered the Vote of
Thanks.
“There are so many who can believe only one thing at a
time. I am so made as to rejoice in the many and behold the
beauty of the One in the many. Hence my natural affinity to
many religions; in them all I see revelations of the
One Spirit.”
